We decided to go to the Tubod Flowing Water Resort in Minglanilla during the Holy Week. Minglanilla is next to the city of Talisay if you’re coming from Cebu City. The resort is not new but it was either that or Moalboal where most of the good places were already booked out.
Anyway, this is just a quick guide on how to get to the Tubod Flowing Water Resort for those who haven’t been there or are new to Cebu. If you’re planning to stay overnight, make sure to book a room first.

Cebu City South Bus Terminal
There are actually plenty of ways to get to Minglanilla. You can take a jeepney, a van, or even a taxi to get there. But if you aren’t familiar with where the jeepneys are or don’t want to spend too much money on a taxi cab, then your best option would be is to just take a bus.
You can find the buses at the South Bus Terminal and you can ride any one of them. Since Minglanilla is just more or less 20 minutes away, you could save even more money by riding minibusses that aren’t air-conditioned. Some may find it unpleasant especially on a hot day but it’s just a quick ride.
How to get to the bus terminal by jeepney?
To get to the South Bus Terminal by jeepney, you must first get to the Elizabeth Mall or EMall. The mall is just a few meters away from the bus terminal. If you are riding from:
- SM City Cebu – Ride a 01K jeepney. Tell the driver that you will disembark at EMall. Once you get to the mall, walk a bit south along the highway until you get to the Cebu City South Bus Terminal.
- Cebu North Bus Terminal – Still a 01K jeepney. The jeepney will come from Parkmall then it will pass by the Cebu North Bus Terminal, then SM City Cebu, before heading to the Elizabeth Mall.
- Fuente Osmena Circle – Any jeepney that starts with 06 or 07. Disembark at the Development Bank of the Philippines or DBP. Walk south along the highway, passing by EMall, before arriving at the South Bus Terminal.
How to get to the bus terminal by taxi?
Tell the driver to drop you off at the Cebu South Bus Terminal. Be wary and keep an eye on the taxi meter. Never agree to a fixed price rate. If he’s persistent, there are always other taxi cabs.
Inside the South Bus Terminal
Go inside the bus terminal and head straight to where all the buses are. All of the minibusses will head south so you could just choose any one of them as they will all pass through Minglanilla. Most of the time, there will be people asking you where you’re headed. Feel free to tell them, they will direct you on which bus to take.
Travel to Minglanilla
The fare will be collected inside the minibus by the conductor. If he asks you where you’re going, tell him “Eskina Tubod” or “Tubod Resort”. He will know where to drop you off. To be clear, the resort is NOT near the highway so the bus will not be passing by the resort. It will only pass by the corner where you can ride a motorcycle cab to the resort.
The passenger fare for the minibus was ₱40.00 each.
The travel time from the South Bus Terminal to Eskina Tubod will take around 20 minutes. Make sure to remind the conductor that you’re going to Tubod Resort. In our case, he almost forgot but luckily, I was monitoring our trip through Google Maps and I saw that we were already nearing the designated corner to the resort.
Ride a motorcycle cab to the resort
When you’ve arrived at Eskina Tubod, there will be motorcycle cabs there that will take you to the resort. We paid ₱10.00 each for the fare.
The trip from the street corner to the entrance of the resort will take around 5-10 minutes.
Tubod Flowing Water Resort
And that’s it! You’ve now arrived at the resort. There is an entrance fee for those who do not have booking accommodations. When you’re done with your trip and wish to get to Cebu City, just do the whole trip again but going the other way around now. There are motorcycle pedicabs that are conveniently parked outside the resort.
